Day 8 Song that match my mood.

I'm so excited! Yesterday, I got a call from my Dad that he was flying to SFO and said "dadating ako dyan BUKAS" it was Thursday in the Philippines and he meant he was arriving Friday. In my time zone it was Wednesday and his BUKAS to me meant Thursday night. I was so excited that I even told my instructional aide that I was going to be "sick" on Friday.. since I need to spend time with my Dad.
So when I got home today, I started cleaning up the apartment-- making sure that it was in its best form. Then my mom calls me and says that my dad is arriving FRIDAY NIGHT!!! What??? I already bought his favorite El Pollo Loco-- I bought 10 pcs of chicken!!!! My dad was laughing and so was I. I guess we were just so excited to see each other that we didnt bother saying what date or day was he really coming. It was just plain BUKAS!! Hahaha
But nonetheless, I am still very excited to see my dad and for him to see OUR HOME in the USA.

DAY 7 My Dream Wedding

I remember when I was younger I have this vision of my dream wedding. Beautiful church, stunning reception with all the works, sumptuous meal, astounding wedding gown, music that would make everyone fall in love. My family and friends would all be there to celebrate the occasion with me. I even thought I knew who I would marry-- but I guess I was wrong with that.

And now that I just hit my 30's-- all of those don't seem too important to me anymore. All that matters to me now is to find the right man and be married to him-- to the one that GOD has prepared for me... That will be my dream wedding.

My Lent Sacrifice

NO FACEBOOK-- yes! that is my lent sacrifice. I feel that I have been spending too much time on Facebook, that's why I thought of giving it up for this season. It's been a week that I deactivated my facebook and I have survived. I know that I could do it for the next couple of days of Lent. I have been looking at other religious websites in exchange to my facebook time. I still intend to activate my facebook account after lent but I promised myself that I would limit my time on the site and would only have positive feelings towards whatever I see on the feed.
So for now, this is where I will be posting my "status" and whatever is new with me.
Have a blessed Season of Lent everyone!

Day 6 A photo of an animal I'd like to keep as a pet

I have always been a dog lover. 7 years ago an ex boyfriend gave me Dada. Me and my family fell instantly in love with him. He brought so much joy to our house and he has definitely made me a better person. He taught how to take care not just for animals but for other people too..
I had to leave the country because of my ambition to make it big in the US-- of course I had to leave him behind. But he was taken cared of my family and was still loved. I would come home to the Philippines for vacations and I just can feel the excitement when he sees me. During my last visit in 2010-- Dada fell sick and died. Me and my family were devastated but we couldn't do anything-- we just have to move on and remember all the beautiful memories that he has left.
If I would be given a chance to have another pet-- I'd choose to have another dog, but then again I think I'd rather not. It's hard to get attached specially knowing that they don't live very long. Haaaayyy.. I miss Dada. If only I could bring him back to life.

Day 5- A photo of myself 2 years ago

This photo was taken during my first NBA experience. It was a game between The Golden State Warriors and the Bobcats. Im not an NBA fan, but I just wanted to experience this. It was fun and looking at the picture now makes me want to watch again.
2 years ago-- I don't know if I was lighter or heavier compared to now.. But definitely prettier. Just kidding.

Day 4-A favorite photograph of your Bestfriend

Him as Mario- Halloween 2010

When I read the title of the blog today. He was the first person that came to my mind. Just because for the last 4 years of my life here in the US, he has been the truest friend I have here.
We meet in 2008, during a Christian Life Program in SFC.

My favorite picture of us.

We clicked right away and developed a friendship. It wasn't a smooth sailing one coz we have our fair share of arguments too. I know that those arguments has made this friendship stronger.

I like being around him because I know that I can be myself. I don't need to filter things I'm going to say because he will not see me less of a person just because of something I said. Same with him, he can be himself and just say whatever he wants.
I am so looking forward to more years of friendship with this guy. I love him and I know I will always will. (walang malisya!) That's my bestfriend for you-- Ruzerpino A. Nagal

Day 3- My idea of my perfect first date

I know. I know. I know. I know that I wasn't able to keep up with my blog challenge, primarily because I got so busy when I got back here in California. I started the first 2 blogs in the Philippines and wasn't able to blog again because of jetlag, work load and of course my social life.. 'Y know.. I gotta say hi to everyone back here! =) But I am back and I will try my very best to get through Day 30.

So this is Day 3.

I will always be a kid at heart and will always be excited with Theme Parks. I have always loved them. I like the idea of walking around the park, warm breezy weather, corn dogs, slush, ice cream, cotton candy and even the long lines. Roller coaster and fireworks just seem like a good combination too. It just gives me happy thoughts when I think of theme parks and dates...

Day 2 - A photo of something I ate today

This was something served during my dinner despedida at home. Mom made lasagna, chicken wing, cobble fillet with asparagus on lemon and butter sauce, marbled potatoes and more. My mom's cooking os one of the best I should say. Relatives always look forward to get togethers in our house because of her sumptuous meals.
This is one on the things that I will definitely miss when I get back to California.

Day 1 - A photo of yourself and how your day was

Today has been a really really long day. I started out my day early because my mom , me and my sister went to 168 in Divisoria. We had to go early since my Dad planned to go to Enchanted Kingdom later in the afternoon.
168 has changed a lot from the last time I remember. It was fully air-conditioned and not just that it was freezing cold. I was even kidding my Mom that it looked like Glorietta. I bought a lot of stuff that I would bring back with me to the US. If luggage weight isn't an issue, I would have brough more. I love 168 because of all the stuff that they have there and of course their cheap prices. On my next Philippines visit, I will definitely frequent 168. My mom even brought us to the Divisoria Market to buy give a ways for Alexa's birthday party in school. That I kinda didn't like.... After having walked all the Pasilio's of 168, it was time to go home and rest for a bit.

Our next stop for the day.. Enchanted Kingdom. Whew.. there were a lot of people and I mean tons!!!!!! We got there at around 5:30 and there were still people coming. Just when we thought people will be leaving at this time. We didn't get to any rides except Rialto because the lines were so long and no one was in the mood to wait. But my dad enjoyed just eating and eating and eating while walking and waiting for Lexa to go through all the kiddie rides. We ended the day past 11:00 and just headed home straight. I had a super aching feet and my feet were screaming for a rest.

It was a tiring day but spending time with family was definitely worth it!
